Bosque Arts Center reschedules 38th Annual Big Event fundraiser "Evening On Safari" for May 16, offers new items in E-BAC online auction

CLIFTON – As the saying goes, if once you don’t succeed, try, try again. And that’s exactly the approach the Bosque Arts Center has taken, in more ways than one.

The BAC’s 38th Annual Big Event, its annual fundraiser planned for April 4, fell victim to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic as precautions led to postponement.

Fortunately, E-BAC online auction held prior to The Big Event went on as planned, allowing BAC patrons the opportunity to bid on prized items electronically.

Now, the BAC has rescheduled The Big Event evening themed “Evening on Safari” for May 16. And in the meantime, new items have been offered as a part of the E-BAC online auction.

Proceeds from The Big Event help fund the Bosque Arts Center with its day to day operation and all the endeavors of the Bosque Arts Center annually. It also helps to continue the many events the BAC brings to the Bosque County area.

The volunteerism, sponsorships, donations, and participation in the fun activities the Big Event committee plans each year keep the BAC thriving. Each year the event includes a wonderful catered dinner and opportunities to purchase one-of-a-kind items.

New items have been included in the auction like an Ann Patton original water color painting, a children’s’ book package, a Vancouver salmon fishing package, a Nieman Marcus silver bracelet just to name a few items. Details on the e-BAC online auction and the catalog are currently online on the Bosque Arts Center website.

There will be delicious food and drinks, accompanying an evening filled with laughter and dancing.

A safari is only as good as its guides and Serengeti has seen its share of safaris. It’s a jungle out there but there’s music everywhere when Serengeti is in the house; they will guide you through the evening.

Led by veteran music ranger Brian Barrett, this musical aggregation will make you want to dance the night away on all your favorite tunes from Classic Rock to Country, Texas Swing to R&B.

The evening will include silent auction items, mystery gift bags - some with value of more than $100 - and raffle items. Seating is limited, so make reservations soon. Sponsor tables are available for Saturday night entertainment and dinner.
