Gauer lectures on H.D. Bugbee traveling exhibit Feb. 22
CLIFTON - With the original art of H.D. Bugbee on display as a part of a traveling exhibit at the Bosque Museum from Feb. 8-March 31, Michael R. Grauer, M.A. of National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum of Oklahoma City will present a lecture on Bugbee’s art on Sat. Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.

H.D. Bugbee art which adorns the cover of Michael Grauer’s book “Making a Hand.” Grauer will be available for book signing after his lecture at the Bosque Museum on Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.
Grauer teaches art history at WTAMU and has also taught at the Taos Institute of Arts, Taos, New Mexico. He has curated numerous art exhibits and has lectured nationally on historic Southwestern art with an emphasis on Texas and New Mexico.
Grauer has represented Texas at a national symposium on Regionalism at New York University in 200. He is a charter member of CASETA and the Taos Society of Artists Historians.
Grauer’s book on Bugbee “Making a Hand” is available at the museum. This richly illustrated overview of the man and his art provides a valuable and entertaining resource for collectors and students of western and Texas art. A book signing will follow the lecture.
