Offering charm and sophistication by channeling the James Bond 007 mystique, Bosque Arts Center hosts 43rd Annual Big Event two-day FUNdraiser April 4-5
CLIFTON – Sophistication, a touch of suave charm, all cloaked with the titillating sense of danger and intrigue of international espionage – that’s what James Bond, the quintessential British 007 secret agent with a license to kill is all about. Oh and lots of action, British humor, cutting-edge gadgets developed by Q and his breathtaking, customized Aston Martin DB5.
Spring brings the annual Big Event FUNdraiser at the Bosque Arts Center in Clifton, themed “Shaken, Not Stirred,” Bond’s signature line at a bar when ordering his medium dry vodka Martini with a lemon peel.

The two-day fundraising is heralded in with the e-BAC online auction March 27-April 3, followed by Big Event weekend April 4-5. The board and Big Event committee volunteers have done everything to make the fundraising event as spectacular as always. The 501(c)3 nonprofit invites everyone to join them in celebrating another year of providing art education, opportunities, and entertainment for all ages.
The Bond-themed Big Event weekend kicks off with the ever-so-popular BYOB. Bond Bingo on Friday, April 4. A $15 burger dinner will be served 5:30-6:30 p.m. – Please check to see if reservations are still available – followed by bingo sessions at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The evening includes two $500 jackpots, in addition to pull-tabs and other drawings.
Saturday evening features music, dancing, drinks, and dinner from Olaf’s excellent kitchen. A very important part of the evening is a tribute by Bryan Davis to long-time supporters of the BAC and Big Event, Chester and Sue Posey, as well as the presentation of the Joan Spieler Lifetime Achievement Award for BAC patrons that go above and beyond the call of duty to preserve this unique Bosque County cultural center.

Raffle drawings and silent auctions for fabulous items add to the fun, offering luxury merchandise, delicious treats and dinners offered by BAC members. Also expect drawings for the 50/50 jackpot and a Ruger rifle.
Attire for Saturday is “Monte Carlo Chic” – come dressed as your favorite James Bond or Bond villain, villainess, or Bond Girl. Or simply come dressed as your glamorous self, ready to step into one of the most glamorous Casino’s in the world, out for a great time at the gala celebration for the good cause.

Maybe the guests will hear some Bond movie music themes from Brian Barrett and band who provide the musical entertainment for the evening, in addition to a lively James Bond trivia session.
The e-BAC holds an amazing array of art, photography, luxury items, and limited ticket events like the Lisa Wingate luncheon, a dinner at Olaf’s, a crawfish boil, a dinner by Chef Ken Patrick Mixology with Chef Oz and Chef Ruark and a Wiskey & Cigars evening, and evening with Phillip Wildman.
