Positive Running Experience

Second Healthy Kids Running Series afternoon draws many families producing participants, encouragers, coaches & cheering sections Sunday at Clifton City Park

CLIFTON -- Not only the number of youth coming out to “Get up and Go” is wonderful, but it is heartwarming to see families, friends and other runners cheer on those runners hitting a wall, or needing that last little push to get over that finish line. Even if the run was tough, the sense of achievement was clear on their faces as they crossed the finish line.

With over 100 youth registered to participate at Clifton City Park Sunday, Oct. 3, Bosque County’s Healthy Kids Running Series organized by Community coordinator Renee Kettler is more successful than she even dare hope.

HKRS is a national, community-based non-profit that provides a fun, inclusive five-week running series for ages 2-14, designed for kids to get active, feel accomplished and lay the foundation for a healthy lifestyle.
